i forgot to take pictures of it

so my friend sent these to me. they were taken on her phone. the colors look HORRIBLE in the pics, but take my word for it, they are FAR more vibrant than they appear. all greens (even though some of the colors don't look green well there are the two bands of white as well). i made it for a friend's baby. they were going to march in the st. patrick's day parade (which they did, but alas the baby surprise jacket is too large for him. he'll wear it NEXT year).

my second baby surprise jacket (from elizabeth zimmerman of course!!!)

more knit bombing!

S(trick)-Bahn

.........

From Mirche:
"A group of Guerilla Knitters which I am part of have recently (31 January to be precise) stormed the U1 in Berlin disguised with knitted beards and armed with knitted cozies, to beautify and soften the harsh interior of the everyday world of commuters. After 3 months of preparation with my Stitch N Bitch group, it took us just an hour to install, and the carriage stayed in circulation until around 15:00, when the BVG security unfortunately cut it all to pieces. Despite making those few employees miserable by giving them extra work, I think we cheered up a fair amount of weary travellers on a gloomy January day!"....................

this is a GREAT sping activity for dad, mom and the kidlettes

Nike Schroeder gives needlepoint a painterly update for the Vice magazine set.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my yarn art doesn't look like this!

my (partial) moon and stars necklace

it's beaded and knit. i have the other half of the silver/crystal beads to knit yet. the LONGEST part is pre-stringing all of the beads. the knitting goes fairly quickly even though it's on size 00 needles. like a GIANT DOPE i ruined some of the Kreinik silver braided thread that came with the kit. so i just ordered more and i have to wait for it (i ran out. like i said, i ruined some of ). i also added more of my own beads and am making both the crystal and the blue in the middle parts a couple of inches longer. i wanted a longer necklace. the completed necklace pic is from earthfaire itself. the one in progress is mine of course
