a new pin i made

(click the pics for a larger view)

the base is made of grungeboard by tim holtz (i love the stuff). i used a couple of star shapes, a heart shape and a couple of twirly shapes. i also used some of his crackle paint as well as his black distress ink. (note: the paint and inks are under ranger, the grungeboard is under idea-ology). i had some craft wire and beads laying around so i used that too. i especially like the wonderful little iridescent face beads (i got from earthfaire a GREAT beading and yarn resource). i gave the pin a little coating of diamond glaze then put a bit of gold green leaf on it (using a little CHEAP paintbrush). i let it dry an hour or so then gave it another coat - then dry - then another coat. i glued a pinback onto it and voila!

my pin

just don't hold your breath. it's not like i won't try to do it right away. i WILL try, but other things keep getting in the way. i do have to knit something for someone before i do any other thing. i know that much.

not that that one or the other one was big, but yours will be a bit smaller (i hope), with fewer rough edges. from experience, they tend to catch on OTHER THINGS
